FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of tube connection devices and more particularly that of tube connection devices with connection indicator.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A fluid transport circuit comprises tubes connected to each other and / or to circuit elements (distributors, actuators, sensors, tools, tanks, etc.) by connection devices.
A connection device generally comprises a body delimiting a tubular channel having a section for receiving a tube end. The receiving section is generally provided with means for securing the end of the tube therein in a sealed manner. These means usually comprise a member (clamp or toothed washer) for hooking the end of the tube and an annular seal arranged to be compressed between a wall of the receiving section and the end of the tube so as to ensure a seal between those -this.
In order for the sealing means to be able to perform their function reliably and effectively, it is necessary that the tube end is sufficiently pressed into the receiving section to reach the hooking member and the seal. To this end, it is common to simply provide in the receiving section, after the hooking member and the seal, with reference to a direction of insertion of the tube end into the receiving section, a stop against which the tube end comes to bear when it is sufficiently depressed. The operator in charge of the connection knows that the tube end is sufficiently inserted into the connection device if he detects the arrival of the tube end in abutment. However, the force for driving the end of the tube into the receiving section is not linear and increases when it comes to passing the end of the tube through the hooking member and / or the gasket. This elevation, which can be relatively large, can vary from one connection operation to another, in particular depending on whether the seal has been previously greased or not, or whether the ambient temperature is higher or lower. It therefore happens that the operator is mistaken about this sudden increase in the sinking force and interprets it as the arrival at the end of the tube end. The operator then ceases to push the end of the tube into the connection device and the latter is not sufficiently pressed, causing a risk of leakage and / or uncoupling of the tube.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
An object of the invention is to reduce the risk of leakage and / or uncoupling of one end of the tube from a connection device.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
To this end, there is provided a device for connecting a tube comprising a body delimiting a tubular channel having a receiving section of a tube end portion. The receiving section defines a direction of insertion of the tube and has an inlet opening. The receiving section is provided with an annular sealing element and a hooking member for sealingly securing the tube end portion in the receiving section. According to the invention, the connection device comprises an annular audible indicator which is deformable between an initial stable state and a deformed state. The annular audible indicator is mounted in the receiving section between the inlet opening and the annular sealing element to be moved beyond the sealing element by the tube end portion, when the introduction of the latter into the receiving section, the annular audible indicator then deforming against an obstacle from the initial state towards the deformed state until producing an audible signal.
It is understood that the force of introducing the tube into the receiving section is transmitted to the audible indicator arriving in contact with the obstacle which forms a stop when the audible indicator is pressed into the receiving section, and that this stop is erased by the deformation of the sound indicator under the effect of the force of introducing the tube into the receiving section: the resistance to the introduction of the tube will therefore increase before rapidly decreasing causing a relatively sudden final sinking of the tube in the receiving section. A device is thus obtained allowing a user to clearly identify that the tube is correctly connected thanks to the audible signal emitted following the deformation of the audible indicator. The particular position of the audible indicator between the inlet opening and the sealing element makes it possible to protect the sealing element from a possible injury by the end of the tube during its introduction and also reduces the resistance felt. by the operator when the tube end passes under the sealing element. These cumulative characteristics make it possible to reduce the risks of leakage and / or uncoupling between one end of the tube and the connection device of the invention.
Within the meaning of the invention, a tube is an element having a tubular shape such as for example a connection end piece, a connection nipple, a filter or a plug.
Advantageously, the obstacle is integral with the body.
Advantageously also, the obstacle comprises a portion forming a non-zero angle with the direction of insertion of the tube and can comprise a portion projecting radially in the channel.
According to a particular embodiment, the audible indicator comprises a bearing face of the end of the tube and a tapered portion whose cross section decreases as one moves away from the bearing face according to the direction of introduction.
The connection device of the invention is particularly resistant to vibrations during transport when the audible indicator comprises three vertices bearing on a wall of the tubular channel.
The connection device of the invention can advantageously be reused a second time when the audible indicator is arranged so as to return elastically to its initial state when the tube is withdrawn.
According to a preferred embodiment, the sound signal is produced by the percussion of a portion of the sound indicator against the body.
Alternatively, the audible signal is produced by the rupture of a portion of the audible indicator. To this end, the audible indicator may include a locally weakened portion. The locally weakened portion may include a reduced cross section relative to an adjacent cross section of the audible warning.
When the audible indicator is produced by injection, the locally weakened portion advantageously comprises a zone for gluing the injected material opposite the injection point.
According to a particular embodiment, the locally weakened portion comprises a breakable element extending between two distant portions of the audible indicator. Advantageously, such a breakable element comprises an RFID tag.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear in the light of the following description of particular non-limiting embodiments of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION With reference to Figures 1 to 11, the connection device according to the invention, and generally designated 100, comprises a body 1 delimiting a tubular channel 2 having a receiving section 30 of an end portion 90 of a tube 91. The receiving section 30 defines a direction Ox for introducing the tube 91 and has an inlet opening 3. The receiving section 30 is, here, delimited for a first portion 31 proximal of the inlet opening 3 by a first and a second socket 32 and 33 respectively received in a first recess 4 of the body 1 and, for a second distal portion 34, by a third recess 35 and a fourth recess 36. A toothed washer of attachment 40 is maintained between one end 32.1 of the first socket 32 and a shoulder 33.1 of the second socket
33. An annular elastomer seal 45 is received in the third recess 35 and has an internal diameter slightly less than the external diameter of the tube 91. The end 36.1 of the fourth recess 36 opposite the inlet opening 3 comprises an annular shoulder 37 which projects radially into the channel 2. The shoulder 37 comprises a first portion extending radially in the receiving section 30 and at the end of which comes a second portion of which a frustoconical surface 39.1 forms a angle a of about twenty degrees with the direction of introduction Ox. The portions 38 and 39 of the shoulder 37 define an annular groove 41 provided with a ramp produced by the surface 39.1.
A tubular disconnection button 50 known in itself is slidably mounted in the first proximal portion 31 of the receiving section 30.
An annular audible indicator 70 is mounted in the disconnection pusher 50. As visible in FIG. 1, the audible indicator 70 is mounted in the receiving section 30 between the inlet opening 3 on the one hand and the toothed washer of hooking 40 as well as the annular seal 45 on the other hand.
With reference to FIGS. 2 to 5, the audible indicator 70 has a substantially annular shape and an axis of revolution O70. More particularly, the outer surface 71 of the audible indicator 70 comprises a straight cylindrical surface 73 whose generating curve is a circle 72 and projecting radially from which come three vertices 74.1, 74.2 and 74.3. The vertices 74.1, 74.2 and 74.3 are spaced 120 ° apart and come to bear against an inner wall of the disconnection pusher 50 so as to keep the audible indicator 70 in position in the disconnection pusher 50 while allowing its movement in the receiving section 30 under the effect of a moderate force which would be applied to it in the direction Ox.
As visible in FIG. 4, the audible indicator 70 comprises a transverse bearing face 75 on which the end 90 of the tube 91 is intended to come to bear. The audible indicator 70 also includes a tapered annular portion 76 whose cross section (that is to say considered in a plane P substantially normal to the direction of introduction Ox) decreases as the distance d, which separates the plane P in which said section is considered from the bearing face 75, increases. The inner circumference 77 of the audible indicator 70 comprises an annular shoulder 78 as well as three grooves 79.1, 79.2 and 79.3 emerging from a cross section which is substantially V-shaped.
The audible indicator 70 can adopt two states. A first initial state represented in FIG. 4 and a second deformed state represented in FIG. 5 in which the tapered portion 76 has moved to move away from the axis of revolution O70 of the audible indicator 70. To connect a tube 91 to the device 100, the end 90 of the tube 91 is presented facing the inlet opening 3 (FIG. 1) the end (FIG. 6)
During a second step, 90 of the tube 91 in the channel and the latter comes into contact, tubular 2 is pressed into the bearing face 75 of the audible indicator 70. The further introduction of the tube 91 into the section of reception 30 causes the sound indicator 70 to move and the tapered portion 76 of the sound indicator 70 passes under the toothed washer 40 (FIG. 7) then engages under the seal 45 (FIG. 8). By lifting the seal 45, the tapered portion 76 reduces the effort of introducing the tube 91 into the connection device 100 and protects the seal 45 from the sharp edges of the face of the end 90 of the tube 91. The operator therefore does not feel a significant increase in the force of introduction of the tube 91 during the passage of the seal 45 and then easily discriminates the stage during which the tube 91 passes the seal d sealing 45 of an abutment of tube 91. The further introduction of tube 91 into the receiving section 30 moves the audible indicator 70 beyond the seal 45 and brings the latter in the vicinity of shoulder 37 (Figure 9). The end 76.1 of the tapered portion 76 is then in abutment against the apex 39.2 of the portion 39 of the shoulder 37. The resistance to sinking of the tube 91 in the receiving section 30 increases until the 'force applied by the second portion 39 of the shoulder 37 on the tapered portion 76 exceeds a threshold value F seu ii: a deformation of the sound indicator 70 is then initiated and authorizes the engagement of the sound indicator 70 on the surface 39.1. The deformation of the audible indicator 70 is then accelerated - the surface 39.1 forming a corner - and the audible indicator 7 0 engages in the groove 41 to then pass into its second deformed state and the end 76.1 of the tapered portion 76 comes abruptly strike, under the force of insertion of the tube 91, the portion 38 (FIG. 10) of the obstacle 37, causing an audible signal confirming to the operator the correct engagement of the end 90 of the tube 91 in the reception section 30. Thus, when the force of insertion of the tube is transmitted to the face 75 by one end 90 of a tube 91, the operator feels an increase in the resistance to sinking of the tube and then increases the driving force it applies to the tube 91 blocked in its movement. The initiation of the deformation of the audible indicator 70 is relatively brutal (the audible indicator pass from a frank stop on a radial surface to a sliding on a frustoconical surface) and results in a sudden decrease in the resistance to sinking of the tube 90 which then suddenly resumes its movement in the direction of introduction until the audible indicator 70 strikes the bottom 38 of the groove by emitting a shock noise.
The operator then perceives a clear, easily identifiable indication of the conformity of the connection of the tube 91 to the connection device 100.
During the withdrawal of the tube 91, the operator acts on the disconnection pusher 50 to release the tube 91 from the teeth of the toothed attachment washer 40. The operator then extracts the tube 91 from the connection device 100. During this movement of withdrawal of the tube 91, the end 90 of the tube 91 moves away from the bearing face 75 of the audible indicator 70. The latter then returns to its initial state and ejects from the groove 41 (FIG. 11 ). This position of the audible indicator 70 facing the groove 41 allows, at the next insertion of an end 90 of a tube 91 in the connection device 100, that the audible indicator 70 can again be used and emit a signal sound testifying to the good connection of the tube 91.
Elements identical or analogous to those previously described will bear a reference numeral identical to these in the description of the second, third, fourth and fifth embodiments of the invention.
Referring to Figures 12. a and 12.b, the audible indicator 60 according to the second embodiment of the invention comprises a bearing face 75 and a tapered portion 76 and a portion 61 locally weakened. The portion 61 is, here, a portion whose cross section 62 is reduced compared to an adjacent cross section 63 of the sound indicator 60. Such a sound indicator 60 can be obtained by machining a section of polymer tube.
When the audible indicator 60 passes from its first initial state shown in FIGS. 12.a and 12.b to its second deformed state represented in FIG. 13, the weakened portion 61 breaks and emits an audible signal even louder than that emitted by the first embodiment of the audible indicator 70.
With reference to FIG. 14, the audible indicator 64 according to the third embodiment of the invention is produced for example an identical to the audible indicator 60 and is injection of a polymer component (by polyamide) into a mold. The injection is carried out at an injection point 65 and the injected material forms two flows 65.1 and 65.2 which pass through the mold on either side of the injection point 65 to meet in a bonding zone 66 diametrically opposite to the injection point 65. The locally weakened portion 67 of the audible indicator 64 is produced so as to include this bonding zone 66.
Thus, when the audible indicator 64 passes from its first initial state shown in Figures 14. a and
14.b towards its second deformed state represented in figure
15, the weakened portion 67 breaks along the bonding zone 66 and emits an even louder sound signal than that emitted by the first embodiment of the sound indicator 70 (FIG. 15). The deformation force necessary for the passage from the first initial state to the second deformed state of this third embodiment of the audible indicator 64 is lower than that necessary to the passage of the first initial state to the second deformed state of the second embodiment of the audible indicator 60.
With reference to FIGS. 16 and 17, the audible indicator 68 according to the fourth embodiment has a substantially C-shaped cross section, the two distant portions 69.1 and 69.2 of which are connected by a breakable plastic blade 80, the ends 81 and 82 of which are respectively glued to the far ends
69.1 and 69.2 of the audible indicator 68.
Thus, when the audible indicator 68 passes into its second deformed state, the breakable plastic blade 80 breaks and emits an audible signal. The deformation force necessary for the passage from the first initial state to the second deformed state of the fourth embodiment of the audible indicator 68 can be easily dimensioned and modified by the simple modification of the dimensions of the breakable plastic blade 80 or of its material.
According to a fifth embodiment shown in FIG. 18, the breakable plastic blade 80 of the audible indicator 68 comprises an RFID marker 83. The RFID marker 83 here comprises a chip 84 and an antenna 85 which extends between the remote portions 69.1 and 69.2 of the audible indicator 68.
Thus, in addition to the emission of an audible signal produced by the rupture of the marker 83 (here a rupture of the antenna 85 of the marker 83) during the passage of the audible indicator 68 from its first initial state to its second deformed state , an interrogation using an RFID reader makes it possible to quickly verify that the tube 91 is correctly connected to the connection device 100. Indeed, if no response from the marker 83 is received by the RFID reader, this means that the antenna 85 is broken and the audible indicator 68 is in the second deformed state. This absence of response from the marker 83 indicates that the tube 91 is correctly engaged in the connection device 100.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described but encompasses any variant coming within the scope of the invention as defined by the claims.
In particular,
